If you are familiar with the Cavalier breed, you know that these dogs are often fragile & in general, couch dogs. Ollie is a little bit different. He is a typical Cavalier in his color, Blenheim, & in his disposition of being super-duper sweet & loving. But Ollie has a bit extra to offer. Ollie loves adventures. He loves activity & excitement, going on outdoor adventures.

This isn't to say that Ollie won't cuddle, he absolutely will. He is as sweet as summer cotton candy! Often Cavaliers are good for apartment living & more low-key homes. That isn't the case with Ollie. We will be searching for a family that can provide him with a nice big back yard to play in & a home that will give mental stimulation by spending physical activity time with him.

Ollie will walk & do potty business while on a harness and leash. But it is important to note that he cannot get the exercise he needs on a leash. It would be to his benefit to participate in a training course or be adopted by someone who will take the time to properly leash train him. He hasn't had any training in recall; we feel like his best life would be lived with a yard that is secure & physically fenced. We won't completely rule out no fence, but our preference is going to be a fence.

Ollie enjoys the company of his foster brothers and sisters.  He looks to them for guidance & companionship. If his humans are home a lot, a canine companion wouldn't be a must. He particularly enjoys sleeping in the big bed at night with his humans.

Ollie has done well with potty training. His desire for marking is waning & he is receptive to feedback. He is doing well, but again, his training needs time, praise, & consistency. Consistency is key.

Ollie travels okay in the vehicle. He does believe it is his solemn duty to serenade you during the entire trip out. So, sing along .... or get ear plugs, lol. The trip back home is typically a bit quieter, given he is worn out & prefers to lounge in the back seat.

This guy is ready to be your new best friend & will be a loyal dedicated family member. Please reach out if your home meets the requirements for adoption & give this boy the home he deserves!
