Since we are 100% foster-based rescue, only completed applications that meet requirements will be reviewed or contacted. We do not allow shipping and do not transport. You must live within 350mi of Maryville, IL & able to drive to the area for a meet & greet. 

Lyanna was able to come to rescue after being retired from breeding. She has been introduced to a whole new world since being with us. 

Her foster mom says: 

“Lyanna has acclimated very fast to our home & family. She loves to sleep in bed with us. She’s eating well. She potties outside but is not so great on a leash yet. Super tiny. She loves to be held and petted. I think she would make a good addition to any family. She’s good with little kids because I have grandchildren & they’ve all held her and petted her. She only weighs about 5 pounds so she’s like a little purse dog. I’ll be sad when she’s gone, I think she’ll be adopted really fast.” 

Potty training is going well, her new family will have to be diligent in continuing her training. She needs to be given ample & consistent opportunity to be successful. She isn’t leash trained, so we will require a secure physical fence. We would be open to a discussion about an x-pen, if necessary. But all factors equal, we prefer a fence. 

Lyanna has been very accepting of all the new faces & sights in her new surroundings. We often struggle with adult dogs being adopted to homes where there are small children, for the safety of the child & the dog. Lyanna seems to be an exception. Having been exposed to children who are respectful of her & know how to interact with her appropriately, we will take that into consideration when processing applications. 

Lyanna is terribly sweet & we hope to match her to her forever family very soon.
