We do not allow shipping & do not transport. You must live within 350 miles from Maryville, IL& able to drive for a meet and greet.

This month Dottie turns 3 years old! We would love to match her with a family for her birthday. Dottie is very shy in the beginning, but as she learns routines & gets familiar with her surroundings she warms up and is just the sweetest little thing. 

Dottie is quite comfortable with her canine foster siblings. She doesn’t appreciate shenanigans, so obnoxious puppies, loud activities, or a ‘busy’ household just won’t be her scene. We will require her family to have no small children, as this would be stressful for Dottie & the family. 

She would do best if there was another canine friend of similar size in the home. She mimics their moves & does better learning the routines by following one of her own kind. 

Speaking of size, Dottie is rather small! She follows the other dogs to do her potty business, & she decides when to come back in. A leash or harness around her neck is not something she is ready for, that really makes her uncomfortable. So, we will insist on a very secure physical fence. A secure fence will allow her to continue progressing in her potty-training routine. We want to make sure that we set her up for success! 

We would like to mention an additional tool for Dottie, an xpen. If you were to put an xpen inside your fenced yard, that would allow you to start with a small area for her to do her business. Once you have established a relationship & she is more willing to come to you, you can give her a bigger portion of the yard to run around in. With colder weather coming, this would help in doing a "quicker" potty break outside. Once the nicer weather returns, be prepared to let Dottie have the run of the yard. She absolutely loooooves running around the yard & being in the sunshine!
